Sloane Coles grew up in The Plains, Virginia, immersed in everything equestrian. She rose to national prominence during her junior career, winning titles in equitation, hunters and jumpers at the country’s best horse shows. Some of her titles included the win in the 2006 North American Equitation Championship as well as the 2006 Bates Equitation year-end award. She received training from a variety of top horsemen throughout her formative years, such as John and Beezie Madden, Beacon Hill Show Stables, Johnny and Kitty Barker and Heritage Farm.
Since moving into the professional ranks, Sloane has competed in major North American grand prix events with wins at The Hampton Classic (New York), HITS-on-the-Hudson (New York) and HITS Culpeper (Virginia), to name a few. She was named to the 2010 USEF Developing Rider Show Jumping tour with her mare, Louisiana. A respected athlete in hunter and jumper rings, Sloane’s other competitive highlights include winning all three 2014 First-Year Green Hunter stake classes during Indoors aboard Autumn Rhythm, winning the $50,000 Grand Prix of Michigan with Esprit and championing the $25,000 Grand Prix at the Piedmont Jumper Classic with MTM Saint Simeon. Sloane currently owns and operates Spring Ledge LLC, where she specializes in developing horses and riders for the show ring.
