California based International Dressage rider and trainer Shannon Peters of SPeters Dressage is no stranger to success. Alongside her husband Steffen, the power couple has built an incredible business at Arroyo Del Mar in San Diego, where they have successfully trained and produced both horses and riders to the highest level of the sport. Driven by their motto, “Where mastery is powered by passion and dedication,” EnviroEquine is their chosen brand for both feed and day to day equine supplies to complement their accomplished program.
“We are results-driven!” Says Shannon on their decision to use EnviroEquine products. “We only use what we see and feel works, and always with input from our grooms, as they are the ones that utilize the products the most.”
“I have looked for a long time for an organic feed which checked all the boxes for what I wanted to feed my horses. I loved being able to speak with Angela Brackett, EnviroEquine’s Nutrition Specialist, regarding the needs of each of my horses, as they all have differing requirements.”
“An important part of our process is understanding each horse’s temperament and performance level so we intelligently select the right products. I worked with Shannon to design a feed and supplement program to make certain her horses receive the correct nutrients. We also continue to actively monitor the results to ensure maximum health and nutrition”, says Angela.
As for their daily EnviroEquine based routine, the SPeters Dressage horses are fed their grain and supplements twice a day, with their hardworking FEI horses being fed after they work as well. This feeding includes a small amount of Organic Performance PLUS mixed with ElectroBalance and Daily Amino.
Most notably, Shannon’s favorite EnviroEquine products are the Organic Performance Plus, for its digestive system-friendly ingredients, and Ulcer Plus after seeing amazing results for her Grand Prix mount. “With the support of UlcerPlus, I was able to ride my Grand Prix horse through two consecutive CDI’s without the use of Omeprazole and not disrupt his digestion – first time ever!”
As for the 2021 season, the SPeters Dressage team faces the same uncertainty and challenges as the rest of our world in the face of the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, they look forward to working towards qualifying for the National Championships at Lamplight in Wayne, Illinois, with the support of EnviroEquine every step of the way!
“I am very fortunate to be supported by EnviroEquine, and my horses have never looked or felt better! That goes a long way in preparing for competition!”
